This group is falls out into two categories of fuzzy bees: 1) big bumble bees and bumble bee-mimics and 2) smaller longhorn bees
- large, almond-sized body
- thorax often with black dot in center
- smaller, orzo-sized body
- females carry pollen in large bottlebrush scopae
- males have very long antennae
